Important Correspondence for Pope Francis!

Back

20/02/2017

It’s important to make sure we’ve got the
correct address and plenty of stamps on these
important letters!

Your Most Holiness Pope Francis,

Why isn’t Nano Nagle a Saint?

Well we think she should be because she's kind and she taught kids about God, Mary and Jesus. Also poor people don’t belong out in the street. She sneaked back into Ireland to care for poor Catholic children because they were sick and in danger. She cared for the poor who were sick and she gave them medicine so they would get better.

After 4 years she had started up five schools for girls and two schools for boys. Eight years later lots of women came to be Presentation Sisters.  She went  out at night  and  gave out  food  to the poor and she said to  the Presentation Sisters  come  with  me  so  they could  teach  them  and  look after them. She had extreme dedication but a lot of rich people didn’t like her.  They said she was too kind. The kids got called street brats and they insulted her but she said I’ll never give up and never let difficulty get in her way.

There are Presentation Sisters all around the world.  Before she died she said “Love the poor like you do to me”. She also said this is not an option or a choice.  200 years later in 1995 Nano Nagle was voted the most popular lady in Ireland.

Thank your Holy Father for considering our letter.  We ask Venerable Nano Nagle to pray for you.

Love,

Jessy and Annie
