The social investment fund set up by Presentation Sister, Magdelan Fogarty, is celebrating 20 years in operation with an Anniversary Conference which will be attended by the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins.

Clann Credo has been providing loans to support community organisations, charities and social enterprises since 1996 and over the years and beyond has helped almost 800 projects and provided €82 million in social financing.

Clann Credo’s history is filled with stories of success amongst their target group and this Anniversary Conference will celebrate those successes and highlight the difficulties of sourcing financing for community groups, charities and social enterprises.

The event is taking place in Richmond Barracks in Dublin on 15 September 2016 and it promises to be an uplifting and educational experience.  Along with President Higgins, attendees will hear addresses from Senator Marie Louise O’Donnell and RTE’s Katie Hannon as well as input from representatives from organisations helped by Clann Credo over the years.

Those attending on the day will see, Cathy Moore present ‘The Path to Clann Credo’ which outlines the story of the founder of the organisation, Sr Magdelan Fogarty.
